The first Board constituted 14 personalities from business, politics and civil society. 12 of them were Alumnae and Alumni of the University of St.Gallen. Furthermore, four additional members participated in an ex officio capacity. The goal of the Advisory Board was the provision of an external view of the university’s strategy (sounding board) and the implementation of concrete projects in the context of the “Vision 2010”. The Board’s focus was on the promotion of entrepreneurship at university and the intensification of the HSG’s internationalization strategy. After the official three-year term had ended, the HSG Alumni Advisory Board was dissolved in autumn 2010.
Core focus: promotion of entrepreneurship
The HSG Alumni Advisory Board strengthened the university's entrepreneurial basis by initiating an extra-curricular entrepreneurship education programme. The HSG Alumni Advisory Board strived to bolster entrepreneurial spirit in the sense of an integrative and holistic management approach, be it amongst employees, academics or students.
Core focus: HSG International
The HSG Alumni Advisory Board realised innovative projects that strengthen our international profile. The aim was to attract international students, researchers and teaching staff.
